The minister also commended the entrepreneurial vision of Mr. Cyprian Orakpo, the Managing Director of Transgreen Nig. Ltd., acknowledging his resilience and innovation, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. He reassured that the government would continue to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, especially in the healthcare sector.

Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), also reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to supporting local manufacturers. Represented by Mrs. Khadijah Ade-Abolade, she stated that NAFDAC would ensure strict regulatory oversight to maintain high safety and quality standards for locally produced medical devices.

The O-Care Disposable Syringes factory is expected to enhance Nigeria’s self-sufficiency in healthcare, create job opportunities, and boost economic development. In his remarks, Mr. Orakpo pledged to scale up operations and expand the range of medical products manufactured locally.

This development aligns with the government’s broader agenda to strengthen Nigeria’s healthcare infrastructure and build a healthier, more prosperous nation.
