European Union Pledges €13 Million To Enhance Nigeria’s Social Protection System
The European Union (EU) has donated €13 million to Nigeria to expand its social protection system. The funds will support the expansion and digitalization of the national social register, with implementation by UNICEF and the International Labour Organisation (ILO)……..READ MORE
The initiative aims to strengthen poverty reduction strategies, improve community resilience, and ensure better identification of vulnerable populations. The program will be rolled out in states like Adamawa, Abia, Benue, Borno, Kebbi, Oyo, and Sokoto.
Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu, lauded the EU’s contribution, emphasizing its role in enhancing social protection efforts in Nigeria.
