U.S. Congressman Scott Perry has alleged that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) provides financial support to Boko Haram and other terrorist organizations worldwide.…..READ MORE

During the inaugural session of the Subcommittee on Delivering on Government Efficiency on Thursday, Perry, a Republican representative from Pennsylvania, claimed that USAID funds not only Boko Haram but also Madrasas, ISIS, Al Qaeda, and terrorist training programs.

According to Perry, USAID disburses between $40 million to $80 million in cash shipments every 7 to 10 days, amounting to approximately $697 million annually. He argued that these funds contribute to terrorist operations, including ISIS Khorasan and various training camps.

He further criticized the Women’s Scholarship Endowment and Young Women Lead programs under Operation Enduring Sentinel, which receive $60 million and $5 million annually, respectively. Perry questioned whether these funds truly support women’s empowerment, citing reports that the Taliban does not allow women to speak publicly.

He insisted that USAID is channeling funds to terrorism, not only in Afghanistan but globally.

Naija News previously reported that former U.S. President Donald Trump suspended USAID operations over concerns of financial mismanagement.
