Breaking: EFCC Busts NAHCON Over Fraud Claims Spokesperson And Three Officials Detained
On Tuesday, operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) raided the headquarters of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) in Abuja amid allegations of fraud. Sources close to The Guardian have revealed that the arrests are part of an ongoing investigation into the alleged misappropriation of funds.
This comes after a prior raid by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), which searched NAHCON’s offices over claims of mishandling the N90 billion allocated for the 2024 Hajj.
EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale has confirmed that further details will be shared in due course.
