BREAKING: Popular Hausa Actor, Samanja Dies At 84 (DETAILS)

Renowned Hausa drama actor, Usman Baba Pategi, widely known as Samanja, has passed away.

He breathed his last in the early hours of Sunday at a private hospital in Kaduna State after a prolonged illness.

The late Kannywood actor had a distinguished career, having served in the Nigerian Army before retiring to work for the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) in Kaduna.

Samanja, aged 84 at the time of his demise, is survived by two wives and twelve children.

His funeral prayer is scheduled to take place at the Kabala Costain mosque in the Kaduna metropolis, following Islamic traditions, as communicated in a statement issued by one of his sons, Mohammad Usman.
