Breaking Records: NNPC Achieves 1.8 Million Barrels Per Day, Boosting FG’s Earnings

In attendance were key stakeholders, including the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri, the Chairman of NNPC Ltd, Chief Pius Akinyelure, and other senior NNPC executives.
Mele Kyari assured that the country’s oil production projections are realistic and in line with the 2024 budget’s goals. He also announced that NNPC’s gas production has surged to 7.4 million standard cubic feet, further enhancing the country’s gas infrastructure, particularly the AKK project.
Kyari expressed confidence in achieving the target of 2 million barrels per day by the year’s end, crediting the progress to the combined efforts of NNPC, government agencies, security teams, and local communities.
The Minister of Petroleum hailed the achievement, acknowledging NNPC’s potential to exceed expectations and reach the 2 million barrels per day target. NNPC’s leadership reiterated that this is just the beginning, with more significant accomplishments ahead.
