Chaos in Kogi: Cult Group Of Students Attacks Teacher, Sparks Outrage

The students, reportedly operating as a cult group, orchestrated the attack to establish dominance over the school’s administration. Salihu, who fell into a coma after the assault, is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

Sources revealed that the group’s leader, Abdulbatin, is the son of a traditional ruler, the Opokitipo of Esusu clan in Okengwe district.

In response to the incident, a fellow teacher has called on the Kogi State Ministry of Education, State Education Board, security agencies, and other relevant authorities to intervene urgently.

“We need immediate action to bring the perpetrators to justice, prevent future incidents, and restore discipline in schools,” the teacher stated.

The local District Police Officer has reportedly intervened, ordering the traditional ruler to produce his son for questioning.
