The assault, which occurred at approximately 3 pm on Thursday, witnessed the assailants storming the market and instigating terror by indiscriminately firing upon the unsuspecting crowd.

Witnesses described the terrifying ordeal as the gunmen brazenly announced their presence with gunfire, triggering panic and pandemonium among the market attendees. Many innocent bystanders tragically fell victim to the hail of bullets unleashed by the attackers.

In the midst of the chaos, the assailants seized numerous villagers and swiftly vanished into the shadows, leaving behind a scene of devastation and mourning.

This horrifying incident comes mere days after a similar attack in Pangu Gari, where gunmen invaded the community, resulting in the tragic demise of the district head and four others.

Brig Gen. Bello Abdullahi Mohammed (rtd), the Commissioner for Homeland Security in Niger State, confirmed the incident and assured that the government, in collaboration with security agencies, is actively engaged in addressing the escalating wave of bandit attacks targeting farming communities in the state.
