Ebonyi Government Initiates Demarcation Of Boundary Communities

Hon. Nwobashi, the State Commissioner for Land and Survey, expressed satisfaction with the progress of the demarcation process, noting the cooperation received from both Amana and Ohanku communities.

He urged stakeholders from both communities to continue fostering peace and cooperation in the area, emphasizing the importance of collaboration for successful boundary demarcation.

According to Nwobashi, the teams involved in the demarcation process were well-represented, and significant agreements were reached during the site visits. He mentioned that certain areas had been measured, with agreements reached, awaiting final confirmation by the technical team.

Dr. Ilang Donatus, a committee member and the State Commissioner for Border Peace and Conflicts Resolution, lauded the dedication of the team in ensuring peace in the area. He highlighted the state governor’s commitment to resolving boundary crises by implementing necessary measures for permanent solutions and demarcation.

Donatus expressed satisfaction with the cooperation shown by the communities, emphasizing the importance of resolving boundary disputes to foster lasting peace and development across the state.

The initiative reflects the state government’s proactive approach to addressing boundary conflicts and promoting peaceful coexistence among communities.
