Edo PDP Mourns Dan Orbih

The Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of its former state chairman and National Vice Chairman, South-South, Chief Dan Osi Orbih.

According to a statement signed by the Edo State PDP Chairman, Nosa M. Ogieva-Okunbor, and the State Secretary, Hillary Otsu, the party described Orbih’s death as a painful loss to the PDP and the wider political community.

The party said Orbih was a prominent figure who contributed significantly to the development of the PDP in Edo State, the South-South region and Nigeria at large.

The Edo PDP also paid tribute to his years of service, describing him as a committed leader whose contributions to public leadership, party unity and democratic development would not be forgotten.

“Throughout his decades of service, Chief Orbih was recognized for his steadfast commitment to public leadership, party unity, and the advancement of democratic ideals within Edo State, the South-South geopolitical zone and across Nigeria,” the statement said.

The party added that his passing represented the loss of a respected political figure whose influence extended across communities and institutions.

The Edo PDP sympathised with Orbih’s family, loved ones and associates, while urging the public to respect the family’s privacy during the mourning period.

Meanwhile, the family has requested privacy as it comes to terms with the loss. It said further announcements concerning funeral arrangements and other related activities would be made in due course.

The Edo PDP prayed for the peaceful repose of Chief Dan Osi Orbih’s soul and extended its condolences to his family and associates.
