Ekiti CP Vows To Secure State Borders Against Criminals

During an interaction with journalists in Ado Ekiti, Eribo commended the state government for establishing security initiatives such as the Amotekun Corps, Agro Rangers, and Marshalls, which he described as pivotal in maintaining peace and order.

“We are determined to dominate the environment and ensure citizens can sleep with both eyes closed. Our officers are stationed at the state’s borders to curb the influx of criminals, and anyone caught will face the full weight of the law,” Eribo stated.

He also highlighted the need for collaboration among security agencies and civilians, proposing a joint task force to address not only criminal activities but also potential herder-farmer conflicts.

Acknowledging the achievements of his predecessors, the CP promised to build on their efforts, emphasizing continuous improvement and teamwork among security stakeholders.

Eribo also called on the youth to steer clear of crime, describing kidnapping as “a quick path to prison and untimely death.” Instead, he urged them to take advantage of numerous developmental programs initiated by the state government.

With the government’s full support, Eribo expressed confidence in achieving a crime-free Ekiti and fostering a safe environment for all residents.
