LEADERSHIP Celebrates Jada Impact With CEO Of The Year Award

Speaking on Monday when the award nomination was presented by LEADERSHIP’s Vice Chairman, Mike Okpere, at his Abuja office, Jada praised the media group’s credibility and emphasized the significance of the recognition for his contributions to Nigeria’s development.

“LEADERSHIP is a trusted and respected name in Nigeria. To receive an award from this prestigious organization signifies excellence and value added to national development,” Jada stated.

He pledged to uphold the values of LEADERSHIP Group and serve as its ambassador, committing to represent the organization with integrity and make it proud.

Recognition Based on Merit

Mike Okpere highlighted that Jada’s nomination was purely merit-based, recognizing his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. He praised Jada as one of the few Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their fields.

The Director of LEADERSHIP Conference, Abraham Nda-Isaiah, commended Jada’s achievements under his leadership, which include the establishment of two major oil and gas free zones in 2024:

  • The 50,000 MT LPG Notore Oil and Gas Free Zone Facility in Onne, Rivers State, expected to attract over $5 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) and create approximately 15,000 jobs.
  • A 20,000 MT LPG facility in Akwa Ibom State, projected to generate over $10 billion in investment and over 7,000 jobs.

Transformational Leadership

Jada’s tenure at OGFZA has also attracted over $24 billion in FDI, with significant projects such as the Brass Industrial Park and a $3.3 billion partnership with China for a methanol plant and gas pipelines. His leadership earned OGFZA the Best Federal MDA for Ease of Doing Business Automation award from PEBEC.

Jada, an alumnus of the Federal University of Technology Yola and the University of Central Lancashire, has a diverse career in finance and project management within Nigeria’s energy sector. His dedication to excellence and governance is reflected in his affiliations with several professional bodies.

Giving Back to SocietyOkpere emphasized that the award is part of LEADERSHIP’s corporate social responsibility to recognize individuals who have positively impacted the nation through economic growth, philanthropy, and innovation.

“This award is not just a recognition; it’s a celebration of contributions to national development,” he said.
