Empowering Isolo Youths: Embrace Reforms for a Brighter Future

All Progressives Congress (APC) Youths leader in Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Rilwan Onikoyi, has urged the youth in Isolo to embrace significant reforms to enhance their lives and future prospects.

During the International Youth Day celebration, Onikoyi voiced his concern about the recent disengagement of some Isolo youths from productive activities. He highlighted a troubling trend where many young people in Isolo have been absent from educational and constructive pursuits, opting instead for less productive endeavors.

Onikoyi stated, “Our goal is to rejuvenate and challenge our youths to excel and surpass their peers in other local governments. Recently, Isolo youths seem to be missing from important educational activities and are involved in unproductive ventures. We want to inspire them to compete on a global level.”

He emphasized that the theme of the event, “Digital Pathway and Mental Health for a Sustainable Future,” was chosen to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of mental health. Onikoyi explained, “We specifically included mental health in our theme to alert our youths about the risks of drug abuse, which can hinder their future. Following this enlightenment, we will conduct a sensitization rally to further re-orient them.”

In support of these efforts, the Chairman of the APC in Isolo LCDA, Mr. Gani Bello, also offered advice to the youth. He urged them to select positive role models and avoid drugs. Bello emphasized, “My advice to the youth is to stay away from drugs and focus on gradual personal growth. Everything you aspire to achieve is possible. Drugs not only damage your health but also diminish your value to your family and society.”

This call to action underscores the importance of embracing reforms and pursuing positive changes to ensure a successful and fulfilling future for the youth of Isolo.
