Speaking as the keynote speaker at a summit organized by the Association of Nigerian Female Students in Lafia, Dr. Ari lamented how persistent abductions have deprived countless girls of their right to quality education. She urged policymakers to implement strong security measures, provide psychosocial support, and push for policy reforms to bridge the gender gap in education.

Reflecting on past abduction cases in Zamfara, Borno, and Kaduna States, she emphasized the need for improved security, parental support, and education-friendly policies to enable girls to compete equally with their male counterparts.

Dr. Nurudeen Mu’azu Maifata, Acting Rector of Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to girl-child education, citing initiatives such as enhanced hostel facilities and the deployment of female security officers to ensure students’ safety.

Meanwhile, Comr. Lajatu Maidoki Haruna, Deputy Coordinator of the Association of Nigerian Female Students in Nasarawa State, applauded the ongoing efforts but stressed the urgency of eliminating socio-cultural and security barriers limiting girls’ access to education.
