Exclusive: Tinubu’s Secret Plan For Sokoto Security Exposed By Gov AliyuSokoto State Governor Ahmed Aliyu has revealed details of his conversation with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding the state’s security challenges. According to Aliyu, President Tinubu assured him of the federal government’s commitment to ending banditry and other criminal activities in Sokoto.

Aliyu emphasized that the president’s directive for the Minister of Defence and top military officials to relocate to Sokoto demonstrates a clear dedication to combating insecurity, not only in the state but across the entire North-West region.

Speaking during a military support event on Friday, where the governor donated 10 vehicles to enhance troop operations, Aliyu stated: “I had an extensive discussion with the President about the security situation in our state, and he pledged his full support to help us end the security crisis.”

He added that President Tinubu has fulfilled his promise by sending the Minister of Defence and service chiefs, whose presence is already yielding positive results. Aliyu expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are seeing results, and we sincerely thank the President.”

The governor highlighted that the 10 vehicles donated were in addition to 100 previously provided to security agencies. He reiterated his commitment to supporting security forces and promised to allocate state resources to ensure the protection of Sokoto’s citizens.

During the event, Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, praised Aliyu’s relentless efforts in pressing the federal government for action. Matawalle revealed that President Tinubu approved the purchase of CMG vehicles, which will be deployed in Sokoto under a new operation called “FANSAR YAMMA” to boost security in the North-West.
