FG Summons Lead British School Management Over Bullying

Expressing grave concern over the incident, Sununu emphasized that the Ministry of Education is treating the matter with the utmost seriousness. He underscored the government’s commitment to addressing bullying in schools and ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
Sununu revealed that the ministry has initiated an investigation into the bullying incident and has invited all relevant parties, including representatives from the Federal Capital Territory and the school authorities, to participate in the inquiry. He emphasized that an attack on one student is an attack on all, reflecting the government’s stance against bullying.
The outcry over the alleged bullying gained traction on social media after videos of the incident surfaced, prompting widespread condemnation and calls for justice. An X user, @mooyeeeeeee, shared videos depicting the disturbing incident, seeking accountability and an end to bullying in society.
In response to the public outrage, the management of Lead British International School issued a statement condemning the bullying incident. Abraham Ogunkambi, the Head of the Abuja School, assured the public that the school is taking the matter seriously and cooperating fully with the investigation.
The government’s intervention underscores the seriousness with which it regards issues of student safety and well-being, emphasizing the need for proactive measures to address bullying and ensure a conducive learning environment for all students.
