Governor Abiodun Commits To Completing Road Repairs In Ogun Communities

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has assured residents of Mowe and Magboro communities in the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area that the ongoing road repairs will be completed. The commitment follows concerns raised by residents of Adesan-Olu Community in Mowe, who urged the governor to expedite the completion of the 3.5-kilometre road rehabilitation project.

The road, which had been in poor condition for several years, was approved for repair by the governor. In an open letter addressed to him, the community acknowledged his dedication to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life in the state. In the letter titled “Appreciation Letter from the Entire Adesan-Olu Community of Mowe, Ogun State,” the residents thanked the governor for initiating the repairs but emphasized the need for faster action to prevent further deterioration of the road.

The letter was signed by key community leaders, including Alhaji Bamidele Nasiru, Alhaji Morenigbade Moshood, and Gafar Adeyemi.

Responding to the concerns, Kayode Akinmade, the governor’s Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, urged the residents to remain patient, assuring them that the project would be completed. He explained that there are several administrative steps involved in the process, such as contractor certification and verification, which sometimes cause delays. Akinmade reassured the community that despite the challenges, both the Mowe and Magboro road projects are progressing and will be finished as planned.
