Eyewitness accounts revealed a harrowing scene as the armed assailants, numbering about seven and brandishing A.K 47 rifles, opened fire on unsuspecting travelers. Amidst the chaos, one individual lost their life, while seven were forcefully taken into the nearby forest.

Survivors recounted the terrifying ordeal, describing how they were halted by gunfire before being marched into the bush at gunpoint. Speaking to reporters, one survivor detailed the frightening encounter, including the demands for money and valuables made by the kidnappers.

Confirming the incident, the Spokesperson of Ogun State police command, SP Omolola Odutola, indicated that the police were actively investigating the situation. While details remain fluid, authorities are intensifying efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.
