The presidency highlighted the significant strides made by the administration led by President Tinubu in attracting foreign investments, citing examples of substantial commitments made by Indian and Dutch businesses. It emphasized the surge in foreign investment in Nigeria’s stock market and the overall growth in various sectors of the economy under President Tinubu’s leadership.

Addressing Atiku’s allegations of conflict of interest regarding the Lagos-Calabar highway project, the presidency refuted the claims, stating that Seyi Tinubu’s involvement with CDK, a tiles manufacturing company, does not constitute a conflict of interest. It defended Seyi Tinubu’s right to engage in legitimate business activities and clarified his position on the board of CDK.

Furthermore, the presidency accused Atiku of hypocrisy, citing instances during his tenure as Vice-president where he allegedly maintained business links with Intels Nigeria, a company he co-owned. It also criticized Atiku’s role in approving the sales of state-owned enterprises to associates during his time as Chairman of the National Council on Privatization.

The presidency questioned Atiku’s motives for opposing the Lagos-Calabar highway project, attributing it to political animosity and suggesting that its success could undermine his presidential ambitions.
