Reports indicate that Badamasi was forcefully taken from his palace on March 15, 2024, by a group of armed individuals suspected to be kidnappers. As the assailants stormed the palace, residents fled in panic, fearing for their safety amidst the sporadic gunfire.

According to sources cited by the Daily Post, the kidnappers made no ransom demands to the family of the traditional ruler. Tragically, after spending a day in captivity, Badamasi’s lifeless body was discovered by villagers near the village outskirts during a search operation in the surrounding bush.

While the state police command has not yet officially confirmed the incident, the brutal nature of the attack has deeply unsettled the community, raising concerns about security in the region.

In a related development, a fresh wave of terror struck the Kajuru-Station community in Kaduna State, where terrorists reportedly abducted eighty-seven individuals. This alarming incident occurred on Sunday night, marking yet another episode of insecurity plaguing the region.

Harisu Dari, a member of the Kajuru-Station Youths, recounted the harrowing ordeal, stating that the terrorists not only kidnapped locals but also looted shops, stealing food items and valuables. Despite the distressing situation, security reinforcements had not been deployed to the area at the time of reporting, leaving villagers in a state of fear and uncertainty.

The recent surge in kidnappings underscores the urgent need for enhanced security measures to safeguard vulnerable communities in Bauchi and Kaduna states, as residents grapple with the pervasive threat of armed violence and abduction.
