Health Emergency Initiative Earns Global Spotlight At Japan’s Best Practices Awards

the esteemed Best Practices Programme for Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan.

In a statement released on Saturday, HEI’s Executive Director, Pascal Achunine, hailed the recognition as a monumental achievement, reflecting the NGO’s dedication to addressing global health challenges.

“We are thrilled to announce that Health Emergency Initiative (HEI) has been selected as one of the 25 global organizations honored under the Best Practices Program for Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan,” Achunine said. “This program highlights innovative solutions aligned with the Expo’s theme: ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives.’”

HEI’s project, titled “Transform Care, Train Responders, Save Lives,” will be prominently showcased at the Expo Pavilion in 2025. The initiative seeks to revolutionize emergency care systems by focusing on responder training and life-saving interventions across Africa.

The selection process evaluated projects globally based on their impact, potential for regional development, and contributions to creating a better future. HEI stands out as the only Nigerian organization and one of just four African entities to receive this prestigious honor.

Achunine emphasized that this global recognition will enhance HEI’s visibility, attract institutional funding partnerships, and amplify its life-saving efforts across Africa.

“This acknowledgment validates our commitment to improving emergency response systems and saving lives,” he added.
