“I’ve received numerous calls over the past four days about alleged plans to defect to APC and take over the party’s structure, which is completely false.

“How can a landlord abandon his house to become a tenant elsewhere? It’s absurd.

“So, let me make it clear before the FCT PDP executives—I’m not going anywhere. I’m staying with the PDP,” Aduda asserted.

A close ally of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Aduda reiterated his dedication to fortifying the PDP, emphasizing that the party remains a strong opposition force both in the FCT and nationally.

He assured members that the PDP would present candidates for the upcoming February 21, 2026, chairmanship election, as well as other contests in 2027.

In response, FCT PDP Chairman Ismaila Mohammed Yenche praised Aduda’s loyalty and urged party members to ignore the defection rumors, focusing instead on preparations for the 2026 area council elections.
