The State Overseeing Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, described Boderi as a ‘baby-faced’ terrorist who spread fear and devastation throughout Kaduna and neighboring Niger state for nearly a decade.
Armed with relentless determination, troops of the Nigerian Army, under the coordination of Major General VU Okoro, engaged Boderi and his fighters in a fierce firefight along the Bada/Riyawa axis, ultimately bringing an end to his reign of terror.
The operation resulted in the neutralization of Boderi and two of his associates, with the recovery of crucial weapons and equipment used in their criminal activities, including AK47 rifles, ammunition, and motorcycles.
Boderi’s demise marks a significant milestone in the ongoing fight against terrorism and banditry, highlighting the effectiveness of coordinated efforts by security forces to confront those who seek to spread chaos and despair.
Known for his ruthlessness and cunning, Boderi evaded capture for years while masterminding a series of deadly attacks and abductions that plunged communities into turmoil. His elimination brings relief to thousands of victims and families who suffered at his hands.
Governor Uba Sani expressed his gratitude for the bravery and professionalism of the troops involved in the operation, pledging continued support to security forces in Kaduna State.
As authorities remain vigilant for any potential retaliation from Boderi’s associates, the public is urged to report any suspicious individuals with gunshot injuries to security agencies, emphasizing the importance of remaining vigilant in the ongoing battle against criminal elements.
