In a recent development, the party’s Suspended Treasurer revealed startling details, alleging that Abure exploited the LP’s reputation to solicit campaign funds abroad without proper authorization.

The revelations come amidst heightened tensions within the LP, triggered by Abure’s recent arrest in Benin City, Edo State, on charges of forgery and illegal possession of firearms. These allegations, stemming from a petition by concerned party members, cast a shadow over Abure’s leadership tenure.
