Kano State Assembly Confirms Rabiu-Kwankwaso And Others As Commissioners

The confirmed commissioners include Mustafa Rabi’u-Kwankwaso, Adamu Aliyu-Kibiya, Abduljabar Garko, and Shehu Aliyu-Yanmedi.

During a session on Tuesday, the assembly members deliberated on the governor’s nominees and unanimously endorsed the appointments, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing the state’s administrative capacity.

In addition to the confirmation of commissioners, Governor Abba Yusuf has proposed the creation of four new ministries to address the evolving developmental needs of Kano State. These proposed ministries are the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Power and Renewable Energy, Internal Security, and Solid Minerals.

Governor Yusuf’s initiatives underscore the administration’s focus on critical areas essential for the state’s growth and the welfare of its citizens. Additionally, the governor has sought the assembly’s approval for the dissolution of the boards of the assembly commission and the appointment of new members.
