Onanuga’s remarks came in response to Air Peace CEO Allen Onyema’s outcry over alleged efforts by some Nigerians to undermine the airline’s operations.

During an interview on the Arise TV breakfast show, Onyema highlighted an incident where FAAN staff purportedly directed Air Peace’s aircraft to land at an inconvenient location at MMIA after its maiden flight to London.

According to Onyema, the action would have inconvenienced passengers, as they would have faced difficulties reaching the terminal building. Despite the availability of an unused terminal, officials reportedly prioritized a foreign carrier over Air Peace.

Expressing his dissatisfaction, Onyema revealed his intervention to ensure Air Peace’s rightful treatment.

In response, Onanuga emphasized the need for Keyamo to take action against MMIA workers who have allegedly failed to align with the administration’s vision under Tinubu.

He urged for a “flushing” of non-compliant workers, stressing the importance of embodying the administration’s “renewed hope spirit.”

The incident underscores tensions within Nigeria’s aviation sector and the challenges faced by indigenous carriers like Air Peace.
