Tinubu’s Aide Hits Back At Atiku, Highlights President’s Ongoing Efforts To Tackle Domestic Issues

Refuted claims that President Bola Tinubu’s trip to France hindered official state functions. Onanuga emphasized that the President remains actively engaged in addressing domestic challenges, pointing to his involvement in key matters such as the inauguration of the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage.
Contrary to Atiku’s concerns, Onanuga highlighted tangible outcomes of President Tinubu’s interventions, especially in the ongoing efforts to combat kidnapping. He reported recent successful operations resulting in the arrest of over 139 kidnappers and the rescue of 154 abducted persons in Abuja, Kaduna, and Benue States. Onanuga further revealed President Tinubu’s approval of a special fund of N50 billion to address security challenges in the North East.
Expressing disappointment in Atiku’s statements, Onanuga criticized the PDP candidate for making “reckless allegations” and urged him to recognize President Tinubu’s commitment to addressing security issues. He argued that if Atiku is genuinely concerned about security matters, he should acknowledge the President’s proactive efforts rather than engaging in what he deemed as “cheap politics.
