Never Cheated, I’m Not An Abuser’ – Sheggz Speaks On Bella Breakup

Big Brother Naija star Segun Olusemo, popularly known as Sheggz, has broken his silence on his relationship with fellow reality TV star Bella Okagbue, dismissing allegations that he abused or cheated on her.

According to Ireporter Online, Sheggz addressed the controversy in a statement shared on his X account on Wednesday, confirming that his relationship with Bella ended in January 2026.

The reality TV star said he had remained silent for months because he preferred to protect his family and avoid turning a private matter into a public dispute. However, he decided to respond after he felt his character and reputation were being unfairly attacked.

Sheggz firmly denied being abusive, insisting that he never cheated on Bella and had been single since their relationship ended in January.

He explained that 2025 was a difficult period for him due to health challenges that required him to spend considerable time in and out of the hospital. After receiving treatment in England, he returned to Nigeria in October 2025 and said he subsequently learned information that caused him to question the level of honesty in his relationship.

According to him, he had previously given Bella several opportunities to be truthful about certain issues but eventually became concerned about trust and respect within the relationship.

Sheggz stressed that he genuinely loved Bella and had hoped they would eventually get married. He disclosed that he even purchased an engagement ring because he believed they had a future together.

However, he said the relationship eventually ended in January 2026 after he concluded that some unresolved issues involving trust and communication would make marriage difficult.

He added that the pair attempted to reconcile after their breakup but were unable to resolve their differences.

Sheggz maintained that marriage should be founded on honesty, mutual respect and effective communication, noting that love alone was not enough to sustain a relationship.

The BBNaija star also stated that he had no intention of engaging in a public confrontation with Bella or her family, saying he preferred to move forward peacefully.

He wished Bella well and expressed hope that everyone involved could eventually move on with dignity and without further hostility.
