They Called Me Dirty’ – Kamsy Speaks On BBNaija Dressing Controversy

According to Ireporter Online, the 24-year-old reality star said some viewers developed a negative perception of her based largely on how she presented herself in the house.

Kamsy was evicted from the Show Ya Sef edition on Sunday, August 16, after spending three weeks among the contestants. She was among the housemates nominated for possible eviction during the third week of the competition.

Reflecting on her experience, Kamsy said she entered the reality show without a specific strategy, choosing instead to remain authentic and allow viewers to form their own opinions about her personality.

She explained that her decision to prioritise comfort over constantly dressing up led to some viewers labelling her negatively.

Kamsy said, “It is exciting and tasking. It keeps you on your toes and helps you build your personal brand. I feel like there’s a major misconception going round because of how I was dressed in the house.”

She added that some critics described her as dirty and alleged that she did not bathe regularly, claims she disagreed with.

According to the former housemate, choosing to dress casually or prioritise comfort should not automatically lead people to form negative opinions about her hygiene or character.

She said she did not believe she needed to constantly glam up simply because she was appearing on television.

Kamsy explained that her primary intention was to remain herself throughout the competition rather than create a particular image to impress viewers.

“I didn’t think I was going into the house to form or to impress people. I was going there to make the audience love me for me,” she said.
