According to Ireporter Online, checks with Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos showed that traders were selling one US dollar for ₦1,415 and buying it at ₦1,405.

This means customers looking to sell dollars could receive about ₦1,405 for every $1, while those purchasing the US currency from parallel-market operators would pay approximately ₦1,415 per dollar.

The CBN does not recognise the parallel or black market for official foreign exchange transactions and has continued to advise individuals seeking forex to use authorised financial institutions.

It is important to note that foreign exchange rates can vary depending on the location, dealer and prevailing market conditions. Consequently, the actual rate offered by a BDC operator or other forex dealer may differ from the figures stated above.
