These survivors, who endured unimaginable trauma at the hands of their captors, shared their stories with a mix of relief and lingering dread. Speaking anonymously, one survivor recounted the terrifying ordeal of being thrown into snake-infested areas by the kidnappers.

“The kidnappers know the areas infested with snakes and would often throw the victims there,” the survivor disclosed. “The sight of venomous serpents instills paralyzing fear, pushing victims to urge their loved ones to sell everything they own just to meet the outrageous ransom demands.”
