Labour Party Leadership Criticized for Selfishness and Division

Adefolarin Oria, the Ondo Central Senatorial Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) during the 2023 general election, has expressed concerns over the party’s leadership, claiming that it is selfish and too divided to achieve success in the 2027 elections………READ MORE

Speaking in Akure, Oria criticized the party for failing to present a candidate for the 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo State, blaming internal leadership struggles. He also pointed out that the appointment of a state chairman who does not speak the indigenous language has created a disconnect with the local population.

Oria emphasized that the party must quickly restructure and adopt a more inclusive approach if it hopes to succeed in future elections. He argued that the current leadership’s narrow focus on specific ethnic groups makes it difficult for people from other regions to embrace the party. He stressed the importance of making the party more accommodating and inclusive to all ethnic groups in Nigeria.
