Masked Gunmen Abduct Poultry Manager In Ogun State

The incident occurred on Monday afternoon when the community was besieged by armed assailants, who stormed the poultry farm in a Gestapo-like manner. After firing shots into the air, the gunmen forcibly took Osifowokan away within minutes.

This abduction follows closely on the heels of another kidnapping incident involving a Hausa farmer in the same community just two days prior.

According to sources, the kidnappers initially sought the farm owner but, finding him absent, opted to abduct Osifowokan, who happens to be his sibling.

Confirming the incident, Chief Yusuf Olusanya, the Sobaloju of Idowa, described the attackers as hoodlums who wore masks and unleashed chaos on the community.

Chief Olusanya recounted the harrowing experience, stating that the gunmen demanded the farm owner’s presence and, upon failing to locate him, seized Osifowokan instead. During the abduction, one driver was injured by gunfire, and his vehicle sustained significant damage.

Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, confirmed the incident, assuring the public that the police command is actively working to secure Osifowokan’s release. He urged patience and cooperation from the community, promising swift action within the next 24 hours.
