Officers from the Kirikiri Police Division ensured safety and order during the rescue operation, while emergency responders cleared the Toyota Camry from under the container. Debris was removed, and traffic congestion was alleviated, allowing LASTMA officials to restore normalcy to the area.

LASTMA General Manager, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, emphasized the dire need for truck drivers and owners to ensure that containers are properly secured during transit. He warned that negligence in securing containers poses a significant threat to public safety, urging compliance with road safety standards to prevent such incidents.

“LASTMA is steadfast in its mission to ensure the safety and efficiency of Lagos roads,” Bakare-Oki stated, adding that collaboration with stakeholders remains crucial to enforcing traffic laws and safeguarding lives.
