This achievement was made possible through recent assaults on terrorist strongholds by troops from Operation Desert Sanity III and Operation Hadin Kai.

During a major offensive against terrorist enclaves in Sambisa Forest, troops raided insurgent hideouts in Ukuba and Njimia, located in Bama Local Government Area of Borno state, on May 14, where Muhammadu was gunned down.

Security expert Zagazola Makama noted that Muhammadu operated a major fabrication workshop, producing various explosive devices including Person Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (PBVIED), Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIED), and Road Side Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (RSBIED).

Muhammadu was also responsible for indoctrinating and recruiting underage children into suicide bombing, deceiving them with false promises of reaching heaven upon their death. Shockingly, even his own three children were used as human bombs.

In addition to eliminating Muhammadu, troops intercepted a vehicle armed with explosives, preventing a potential attack on them. This successful operation highlights the commitment and effectiveness of the troops in combating terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of the region.
