This season, Aina has made 34 league appearances and scored twice, contributing both defensively and occasionally in attack under manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Meanwhile, Southampton manager Russell Martin has praised striker Paul Onuachu for his standout performance against Liverpool, despite the team’s narrow 3-2 defeat.
