Following separate meetings with NNPCL, the National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Hammed Fashola, and the Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria, Billy Hilly-Harry, revealed this positive step.

Fashola assured Nigerians that his association would convene on Monday to work in tandem with NNPCL to address the fuel scarcity. He urged citizens not to engage in panic buying, emphasizing that fuel will be readily available across the nation.

Hilly-Harry echoed Fashola’s sentiments, stating that the meeting between NNPCL and marketers had yielded fruitful solutions. He noted a noticeable improvement in fuel queues in Abuja over the weekend.

These developments signal a collaborative effort between petroleum marketers and NNPCL to tackle the fuel scarcity crisis that has plagued Nigeria for weeks. Despite earlier assurances from NNPCL, the scarcity persisted, prompting concerted action from stakeholders to ensure adequate fuel supply nationwide.
