Police Begin Insurance Checks In Kogi!

In a statement released on Saturday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya, it was confirmed that the enforcement officially begins today, February 1, 2025.

The CP emphasized that officers must conduct the exercise professionally and in line with established protocols. He stated that the initiative aims to improve road safety and ensure compliance with insurance regulations designed to protect both motorists and other road users.

He urged Kogi residents to cooperate with law enforcement officers during the exercise, warning that non-compliance would attract legal penalties.

Additionally, the CP advised all vehicle owners to obtain valid third-party insurance to avoid disruptions during the enforcement period.

Dantawaye also directed Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, and Divisional Police Officers to ensure full implementation of the directive while maintaining professionalism and adherence to due process.
