Portable Welcomes Baby Boy With Wife Bewaji Following Boxing Defeat

Nigerian singer Portable has announced the birth of a baby boy with his partner, Omobewaji Ewatomi, popularly known as Bewaji. According to Ireporter Online, the development was made public on Friday after Bewaji shared the news via her Instagram page, expressing gratitude for a safe delivery and introducing their newborn son, Jamal Iremide.

The singer subsequently confirmed the arrival on his own social media platform, where he appreciated Bewaji and celebrated the newest addition to his family. The birth coincided with the same day Portable suffered a defeat in a celebrity boxing match against Carter Efe, with the contest ending in a unanimous decision in favour of his opponent.

Despite the loss in the ring, Portable appeared more elated about the birth of his child, noting that fatherhood outweighed the disappointment of the match outcome. He disclosed that the baby was delivered while he was still participating in the boxing event, describing the moment as deeply significant.

In a message shared online, the singer expressed appreciation to his partner, stating that while he had hoped to secure victory in the bout, welcoming his son brought him greater fulfillment. He added that material achievements could be attained again, but the joy of a child is irreplaceable.
