A rainstorm has left three individuals injured and over 200 houses damaged in the Miango District of Bassa Local Government Area in Plateau State. Nga detailed the extensive destruction caused by the storm, which affected residential buildings, a clinic, schools, shops, livestock pens, and uprooted economic trees. Many individuals were left stranded, and valuable items such as documents, household products, and cement were destroyed.

While no fatalities were reported, three people sustained injuries and have been transported to hospitals for treatment. Affected individuals have sought refuge in the homes of neighbors due to the widespread damage.

The rainstorm exacerbates the challenges faced by the Miango community, which has endured violent attacks and displacement in recent years. Nga urged government agencies like the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the Local Government Council to provide assistance to those affected. Additionally, he called upon NGOs and well-meaning individuals to offer urgent support to the affected persons, especially as the rainy season progresses.
