According to the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, the resolution of the political crisis was announced on Sunday, highlighting the governor’s commitment to effective governance despite previous disputes with his predecessor, Nyesom Wike.

Fubara emphasized that the state is now free from significant political turmoil, affirming his administration’s determination to remain focused amidst challenges. Drawing inspiration from the movie “Devil’s Advocate,” he stressed the importance of resilience in the face of pressure, asserting his administration’s dedication to the welfare of the people.

He stated, “We have chosen to be focused under this pressure. That is why we are moving ahead… Governance is about touching the core needs of those people we are leading, and by the special grace of God, we are doing it.”

Highlighting recent initiatives aimed at enhancing the socio-economic landscape, Governor Fubara pointed to the empowerment of approximately 3,066 Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises through the launch of a N4 billion single-digit loan scheme in collaboration with the Bank of Industry Limited.
