Terrorists Take Abducted University Students To Receive Medication

The abducted students from the Federal University Gusau in Zamfara State, who were taken by suspected terrorists, were spotted on Tuesday receiving medical attention at a health center in the Madada community, located in Maru Local Government of the state.

Following their abduction, the students were relocated to the Madada forest within the larger Kwiambana Game Reserve.

Situated on the banks of Kwiambana Game Reserve, which spans across Kaduna, Niger, Kebbi, and Katsina states in the North-west and North-central regions of Nigeria, the Madada community observed the female abductees being treated at the medical facility.

According to a resident who preferred to remain anonymous for safety reasons, the abductees were brought to the community by the terrorists on motorcycles. They received injections and other medications from a local chemist. The three students discussed the exhaustion they experienced during the journey from Friday to Monday, providing clues to their identity.

The residents reported that after the raid, the terrorists transported the girls on multiple motorcycles to the Dansadau District between Friday and Monday. They also noted that the captives and their abductors sought refuge in mosques in at least two farming communities near Dansadau over the weekend.

The area surrounding the game reserve is believed to be under the influence of terrorists loyal to Ali Kachallah and Dogo Gide, suspected masterminds behind the abduction. The Madada community, like other farming communities in the Dansadau district, is controlled by armed bandits who often displace traditional rulers and impose levies on willing residents to remain in the area.
