Announcing the impending inauguration at the Government House in Umuahia, Commissioner for Information and Culture, Prince Okey Kanu, highlighted the state government’s concerted efforts to ensure the success of the Geometric Power Plant project.

Prince Kanu underscored the significance of this milestone, noting the profound impact it would have on both the Geometrics company and the local populace in Abia State. He emphasized that the state government’s commitment to facilitating private sector investment in infrastructure reflects its dedication to enhancing the region’s economic prosperity.

“The commissioning of this power plant signifies a pivotal moment for Aba residents, the business community, and surrounding areas, as it addresses the longstanding challenge of inadequate power supply,” Kanu remarked.

He further elaborated on the fortuitous nature of the project’s inception, highlighting the involvement of former Managing Director and CEO of defunct Diamond Bank PLC, Dr. Alex Otti, in its development.
