Tragic Incident In Zambia: Man Commits Suicide After Killing Wife

According to Police Public Relations Officer Rae Hamoonga, the tragic event occurred on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. Ilishebo reportedly strangled Valerie with an electric power adapter cable and inflicted stab wounds to her stomach with a knife before taking his own life.

Upon receiving a distressing report from Alice Mapulanga, 38, authorities rushed to the scene. They discovered Valerie’s lifeless body in the bedroom, with a knife embedded in her abdomen. Ilishebo was found deceased in the sitting room, with a black substance emanating from his mouth, indicating he had ingested a poisonous substance.

The motive behind the incident is suspected to stem from a long-standing marital dispute between the couple, who shared an eight-month-old child. The bodies were transported to the University Teaching Hospital mortuary for further examination.

This tragic incident serves as a sobering reminder of the complexities of human relationships and the devastating consequences that can arise from unresolved conflicts.
