“I have repeatedly raised concerns about the insecurity in Uromi. It seems our outcry lasts only for a few days before we return to our daily routines, allowing the perpetrators to strike again,” he wrote.

Ehi lamented the prevalence of monthly kidnapping cases in Uromi without any arrests made. He highlighted the recent loss of Lucky Adodo, who was gunned down on the busy Ohen Road.

“Today, Uromi youths are blocking the roads? Will this solve anything?” he questioned.

Meanwhile, the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Ademola Adeleke of involvement in contract fraud.

The party called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate the allegations against Adeleke’s government.
