Troops Neutralize Insurgents, Free 11 Kidnapped Victims In Kaduna

In a daring operation, troops of the 1 Division Nigerian Army have struck a blow against insurgency in Kaduna State, neutralizing four insurgents and liberating eleven kidnapped victims in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area….READ ALSO Police Neutralize Kidnappers, Gunrunners, And Seize Cache Of Weapons

 

Announced by Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya, the operation saw troops engaging insurgents on February 6, resulting in the elimination of four insurgents while others fled with injuries. The seized arsenal included 3 AK-47 rifles, 7 magazines, and 2 motorcycles.

Further exploits followed as troops intercepted insurgents at Kwaga village on February 7, forcing them to abandon their captives and flee into the forest. Among the rescued were individuals kidnapped from Masuku village in Niger State on February 6.

Following their rescue, the victims received medical attention and were reunited with their families, thanks to the swift action of the Division’s medical team.

Commending the troops’ valor, Maj Gen Valentine Okoro, General Officer Commanding 1 Division NA and Force Commander Operation WHIRL PUNCH, urged continued cooperation from the public, emphasizing the importance of timely intelligence in combating insurgency.

As the troops continue their relentless pursuit of peace and security, locals are urged to report any suspicious activity or individuals seeking medical aid for gunshot wounds, ensuring swift and decisive action against criminal elements.
