Wike Pledges To Put An End To Open Grazing In Abuja

Expressing concern over the movement of cattle within the city, Wike assured residents of Abuja that measures are being put in place to halt the roaming of cattle in the city center.

During a meeting with the Belgian Ambassador to Nigeria, Daniel Bertrand, Wike disclosed that he has initiated discussions with various stakeholders to address the issue effectively.

Highlighting the importance of adopting multifaceted approaches to tackle insecurity in the FCT, Wike emphasized the administration’s commitment to combat criminal activities.

Furthermore, Wike mentioned intensified collaboration with private sector transportation players to enhance security within the city.

In response to concerns raised by Ambassador Daniel Bertrand regarding cattle roaming the streets of Abuja, Wike assured him of the administration’s efforts to address the issue. Bertrand also expressed interest in facilitating partnerships between investors from Belgium and the FCTA for the development of the nation’s capital.
