Engr. Ale, an Ekiti-born innovator, has dedicated his career to addressing the critical issues surrounding clean water access. His background spans development, entrepreneurship, and sustainability, positioning him as a leader in global water resource management.
Having previously served on the Board of the World Water Council in Paris, Ale has been instrumental in shaping international water policies. He believes that access to clean water is a fundamental human right, a principle that has driven his work and advocacy throughout his career.
With an impressive academic background, including a B.Sc. in Geology and Mineral Science from the University of Ilorin and a Master’s in Project Development and Implementation from the University of Ibadan, Ale continues to pursue an M.Sc. in Hydro-Engineering Geology. He emphasizes that education is key to developing effective leadership in water management.
As the founder and CEO of the Global Initiative for Nigeria Development (GIND), Engr. Ale has led impactful WASH projects that have directly benefited local communities. He has also pioneered the Project Outcome Validation Aggregator (POVA) framework, which aims to enhance the quality and sustainability of such projects.
Ale’s impact extends to the borehole drilling industry, where he has served as the Founding President of the Association of Waterwell Drilling Rig Owners and Practitioners (AWDROP), advocating for better practices and regulatory improvements. His expertise has made him a key representative for Nigeria at major international conferences, helping to foster global collaboration for water solutions.
A prolific researcher, Engr. Ale has published extensively on groundwater quality and urban flood control, and his data-driven insights have influenced national water policies. He is also dedicated to mentoring the next generation of water sector leaders through his Male Knowledge Academy, ensuring that young professionals are equipped with the skills to drive change.
Recognized for his groundbreaking work, Engr. Ale has received numerous accolades, including the Award Fellow for Innovation and Technology at the TED Global Conference. His commitment to sustainable development and his collaborative efforts with global institutions like the World Bank and UNEP continue to inspire professionals worldwide.
