Zamfara Governor Appoints New Acting Commandant For State Security Outfit
Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has appointed Major Maikano Adamu (rtd) as the Acting Commandant of the Zamfara State Community Protection Guards (CPG), replacing Col. Rabiu Garba Yandoto (rtd)……READ ALSO Arewa Group Criticizes Zamfara Governor For Alleged Neglect Of Security
The appointment follows the suspension of Col. Yandoto by the state government, prompted by his criticism of inadequate funding for the outfit. Major Adamu’s appointment, effective immediately, was announced in a statement by the State Commissioner for Information, Munnir Haidara.
Major Adamu, who previously served as the Deputy Commandant of the CPG, assumes his new role amidst recent developments within the security apparatus of Zamfara State.
