Idris delivered this assertion during the 2024 conference and annual general meeting of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Niger State chapter in Minna, on Tuesday, instilling confidence in the government’s steadfast dedication to national progress.
Representing President Tinubu, Idris, expressed, “His Excellency Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is deeply dedicated to steering us toward the Nigeria we aspire to, guided by a genuine purpose and a steadfast adherence to the values enshrined in the Nigerian Constitution.
“Over the past seven months, this administration has remained resolute in its commitment to revitalizing the economy, combating insecurity, attracting Foreign Direct Investment, and upholding Nigeria’s foreign policy principles on the global stage.
“Our pivotal role in upholding democracy within the West African region through the ECOWAS platform has garnered international recognition, positioning us prominently within the global political landscape.
“We shall not relent in our efforts, for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda steadfastly assures that Nigeria shall not falter, for we are indeed the towering giant of Africa.”
Idris further disclosed that President Tinubu had instructed key security agencies, including the NSA, DSS, and IGP, to collaborate with state governors in curtailing the activities of individuals engaged in hoarding food commodities, thereby ensuring price stability.
“On behalf of the Federal Government, I commend the proactive measures taken by Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago, in halting the bulk purchase of food items for hoarding purposes.
“This commendable action undoubtedly contributed to the recent decline in the prices of food items within the state,” he remarked.
Former Governor of Niger, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, expressed optimism for the rejuvenation of NIPR, anticipating that the chapter would set new benchmarks in the field of public relations.
